Probably one of my favorite Christmas projects for the little ones is the handprint ornament. My mom still has ours and all the parents loved that we did them. Super simple...all you need is air dry clay, ribbon, and something round such as a giant circle cookie cutter to cut a perfect circle out of the clay. Take a small ball of clay, roll it out, cut it, press their hand into it, poke a hole in the top for the ribbon to go through and let them dry. We left them out for a few days to dry them out. Once dry we added the ribbon and let the kids paint on the back side of them to personalize them. Adorable!

Christmas 2012
Merry Christmas! Looks like the world is still turning and we are all still here. This year we are heading south for the annual Quist Christmas bash. We are currently on our way and being hit by a massive storm! Buckets and buckets of rain and very high winds. Let's just say it's a really good thing I am not driving...anxiety much? I feel like I need a Xanax just sitting in the passenger's seat!
We did an early celebration with my family yesterday and it was just perfect as always. I love being home for the holidays cooking with my mom and visiting with family. Her house is decorated to the "T" and the fireplace was going as we all sat around talking and decorating a gingerbread house (which Alyssa was supposed to do but Jess and I ended up doing most of the work!). I secretly wish I could have stayed home the whole time but we must share. :)
Wishing you all a wonderful Christmas and a joyful, happy New Year! Stay safe and warm. <3
