We're going to MIAMI!!!
So we have been tossing around going to see Matt play this month and decided since trips were SO outrageously priced, it would be a good idea that just Danny went...I just couldn't justify spending that kind of money on both of us to go, but I could justify spending it just for Danny to go...it is his brother afterall! and this is a once in a lifetime opportunity!!!! BUT tonight we found tickets VERY cheap for flights to Florida so we are BOTH going now! Ahhhhh so exciting!!! :] :] MUCH NEEDED TRIP for us and even better that it is to watch Matt play MLB!!!! We'll be going down at the end of Sept from the 26th-29th...very quick trip but VERY excited!!!

MATT GETS CALLED UP!!!
Just a little background...
Danny's brother Matt who is 22 has been playing in the Marlins club for the past few years now. He has been invited to spring training a couple years in a row to play with the Marlins during spring training and this past year looked VERY promising that he was going to get called up to the big leagues!!! The last day of spring training came and they decided that Matt wasn't quite ready to hit against the big guys so they kept him on their Minor league team in New Orleans. There has been a lot of talk about him getting pulled up all season but a few injuries had set him back. Well, there was one last chance during Sept for a call up until next year and well...the rest is history!
So to finish off our summer we decided to take a quick trip down to LA to see Danny's family for Labor day weekend. On Monday we were getting to leave and Matt's girlfriend calls his mom and says to check out a blog and sure enough, Matt was being talked about LIKE CRAZY!!! None of us wanted to believe it until Matt called us personally but he was currently playing a game for New Orleans so we were waiting for that to be over. The game ended and we waited, and waited, and waited...until FINALLY...MATT CALLS!!! and sure enough, he told us the news, HE WAS GOING TO MIAMI THE NEXT DAY TO PLAY WITH THE MARLINS...the day he has been waiting for and dreaming about forever...the day his family has been waiting for and dreaming about...he was going to the big leagues...FINALLY!!!! I must say, it was one of the most exciting things I have ever experienced. As soon as we got home, we subscribed to the MLB network and we watched his first Major League debut September 6th 2011 on TV! AMAZING!!!
There he is!!!! :] #54 third base...Matt Dominguez!
