Bachelorette weekend...
My oh my I am STILL tired from this past weekend! It was my bachelorette party weekend and an amazing weekend at that! We spent the weekend in Tahoe at Kayla's parents' beautiful timeshare! I wasn't supposed to know the details of my weekend but I had ideas as to where it was going to be held. Regardless of knowing where I thought it might be, the rest was a complete surprise! We took off Friday afternoon and made it to Tahoe around 4...when we arrived to check in I was immediately taken to the Spa and into the back for a full body Swedish massage! UHM AMAZING!! I have had ONE professional massage before and it was a whole 20 minutes to help loosen up some back issue from cheering...oh and at physical therapy it ended with a brief massage...but NEVER anything like this. Perfect weekend already! After my massage Kayla met me back at the spa drink in hand! We went back up to the condo and they had it fully decorated for me! They had all my favorite alcohol, food and candy. Dinner was cooking and it was of course, one of my favorites....veggie lasagna made by Tammy...aside from mine of course, hers is my favorite! Hers might even have mine beat :)...after dinner we had decided to keep Friday as a girls night in and we drank, played a couple games, and chatted....I had an excruciating headache (from the altitude, I always get one up there) so I passed on the 1am hot tub run and went to bed. The next morning I woke up to breakfast and another fun filled day. We had breakfast and headed out that afternoon for lunch at Edgewood and just cruised around South Lake. We decided to head back for yes...more drinks and to relax before our night out. Jess made another one of my favorites for dinner...her mexican food and we got ready for a night out on the town. We headed down to Cabo Wabo where they always have live music that I am a huge fan of and we danced the night away. We also went to Vex for a little bit but I wasn't too fond of that place so we left shortly after. Kayla had made a list of "dares" for me to do which was a LOT of fun! We have pictures to match all the dares I ended up making it through before the night was over...which I will add as soon as I get them.
The weekend was perfect...Kayla did a fabulous job coordinating with the other girls to create the best weekend for me. I have never felt so spoiled and loved as I did this weekend. I have been looking forward to this weekend for a LONG time and I am so happy it went as perfectly as it did. I will say, Sunday I sure was feeling it! I am not 21 anymore and can not drink like I once was able to. I wouldn't say it's a bad thing...just something I need to remember! Kayla went all out from the invites to the decorations. She and Becca made signs, hung a cute panty banner in which everyone bought a pair for me. Adorable. She made survival kits with all the necessities for the weekend in it, she had shot glasses hand made for everyone, and she had an adorable mock veil made for me. We played a couple games "how well do you know Ashley" and "how well does Ashley know Danny" and some others. I couldn't have asked for a better weekend! Now, to see the pictures....and potentially burn some! Haha.

Handprint ornaments
Probably one of my favorite Christmas projects for the little ones is the handprint ornament. My mom still has ours and all the parents loved that we did them. Super simple...all you need is air dry clay, ribbon, and something round such as a giant circle cookie cutter to cut a perfect circle out of the clay. Take a small ball of clay, roll it out, cut it, press their hand into it, poke a hole in the top for the ribbon to go through and let them dry. We left them out for a few days to dry them out. Once dry we added the ribbon and let the kids paint on the back side of them to personalize them. Adorable!

Christmas 2012
Merry Christmas! Looks like the world is still turning and we are all still here. This year we are heading south for the annual Quist Christmas bash. We are currently on our way and being hit by a massive storm! Buckets and buckets of rain and very high winds. Let's just say it's a really good thing I am not driving...anxiety much? I feel like I need a Xanax just sitting in the passenger's seat!
We did an early celebration with my family yesterday and it was just perfect as always. I love being home for the holidays cooking with my mom and visiting with family. Her house is decorated to the "T" and the fireplace was going as we all sat around talking and decorating a gingerbread house (which Alyssa was supposed to do but Jess and I ended up doing most of the work!). I secretly wish I could have stayed home the whole time but we must share. :)
Wishing you all a wonderful Christmas and a joyful, happy New Year! Stay safe and warm. <3

Hello Lovlies! It's been a while...
I'm back! Sort of...we will see how long this lasts again as things have been a bit crazy in our neck of the woods these past few months. I thought for sure once the wedding was over things would go back to their normal ways but man was I wrong! We went straight into the craziness of the holidays. Everyday has just been go, go go! I am most definitely looking forward to the New Year and all it hopefully has to offer in regards to just RELAXING...we will see about that one! I can't say we have been up to anything overly *fun* or *exciting* just plain ol' busy!
Let's see...top 5 things we have been up to?
We did manage to find time to decorate for Christmas. I have found time to redecorate our apartment...over and over again...
Danny has been keeping busy with work and as always, so have I! While I truly enjoy working, I am looking forward to vacation next week. I know Danny is as well.
We have been carefully watching the list of open billets to see which get filled. It sure is nerve wracking. We get our final list of open billets to us on January 11th. I am praying to God there are some good local ones available still. Fingers and toes have been crossed for months!

I'm still starting my days off at the gym. I have even been starting my weekend mornings off there. I feel lost and "off" if I don't get my gym session in. I've met a few friends as well that I enjoy seeing and working out with each day. It makes it a bit more enjoyable to have people there and since Danny obviously can't go in the mornings, it's nice.
Ok, so that was only 4. Guess that'll do for now. Exciting! :)
Well, this blog post has taken me a week to actually finish so maybe I don't have time for this anymore after all!
